Nicola's expertise lies in engineering the latest immersive development technologies, using a multitude of different game engines and upcoming practices.

Most recently she has created innovative, interactive 3D videos and audio, virtual reality and augmented reality experiences and 3D virtual tour websites.

With over 13 years of traditional application, mobile and web development experience she has had the privilege of working on the market leading reporting solution for Further Education and the industry standard web solution for hospitality operators. Her specialities in this area include application development (C#, ASP.NET, Javascript, SQL, VB, C++) and database design, creation and management.

Dr. Stavros Karamperidis is a Lecturer in Maritime Economics in the Department of International Shipping, Logistics and Operations at Plymouth University.

Stavros is also regularly invited to deliver guest lectures at various universities and Merchant Maritime Academies around the globe. Some of Stavros' recent funding that he has secured

Stavros is also regularly invited to deliver guest lectures at various universities and Merchant Maritime Academies around the globe. Some of Stavros' recent funding that he has secured is from: 

1. Interreg North Sea Region  (PI) (North Sea CONNECT) 

2. Horizon 2020 (CoI) (Cyber preparedness actions for a holistic approach and awareness raising in the MARitime logistics supply chain)

3. Innovative UK (PI) (Cybersecurity Risk Assessment Box) 

4. EPSRC (CoI) (Decarbonising UK Transport Freight). 

He has been invited in various key commercial conferences to demonstrate his work on decarbonisation, physical and cyber security and on skills development in logistics and maritime transport sector. His primarily research interests are in shipping and ports logistics, maritime cyber and physical security, employability of millennials in logistics, indices development and maritime risk management (supply chain vulnerability for maritime operations). 

Before joining academia, Stavros worked in various companies ranging from SME’s to multinational companies. Stavros is regularly invited to chair several key European and UK commercial and academic conferences. Stavros is linked with Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in various occasions, he is a Chartered Member, chairman for Devon and Cornwall and Member of the Ports, Maritime & Waterways Sector Forum. He is a maritime cyber security expert for ENISA (European Union Agency for Cybersecurity) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

The last 10 years have been invested in developing and bringing to market technology ecosystems centred on addressing the burgeoning global environmental impact of the digital economy and the inherent inequities of the same.

Robert has captured his thinking and practice in the shape of value driven leadership development & consultancy programmes, delivering these to a broad spectrum of organisations  globally over the last 20 years, resulting in an extensive record of public presentation and speaking engagements.

Personally, Robert invests his time in various charities themed on addressing the education needs of society’s most vulnerable children, predominantly through “War Child”.

Dr. Adam Sobey is Associate Professor of AI for Marine Applications at the University of Southampton and is co-lead of the Marine and Maritime Group within Data-Centric Engineering at The Alan Turing Institute. He has developed cMLSGA, the co-evolutionary Multi-Level Selection Genetic Algorithm, and a number of unsupervised learning and machine learning approaches. These have been applied in a range of industrial applications with a focus on reducing emissions. 

In 2015 he was awarded the Royal Institution of Naval Architect’s Jeom Paik Award for his investigations into using soft computing approaches to improve the reliability of ship structures.

He develops methodologies for computational fluid mechanics and physics-based machine learning and consults for software developers in those fields.
